BUCKS COUNTY, PA – A Falls Township man was arrested Tuesday night and charged with sexually assaulting several children and women over the past two decades.
Roboerto Cruz, 57, was arraigned on 30 misdemeanor and felony charges including six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault on a person less than 13 years of age, four counts of a rape of a child and various related offenses. District Judge Robert Wagner Jr. sent Cruz to Bucks County prison on 10 percent of $700,000 bail, according to police.
A 16-year-old girl told investigators that she was sexually assaulted and raped by Cruz about 50 times between the time she was 7 and 12 years old, according to court papers. She added that the incidents allegedly happened in Falls Township and Horsham, Montgomery County.
A woman told police she awoke in 2000 to find Cruz masturbating in front her, which was near her four young children. The woman, who was 22 years old at the time, said in the incident took place in Philadelphia, court documents stated.
A 39-year-old woman said Cruz sexually assaulted her in front of her friend’s three young children inside a Philadelphia home in 1996, police said.
Another woman, who was 13-years-old in 2001, alleged Cruz masturbated in front of her while touching her leg in Philadelphia 15 years ago.
Cruz threatened to kill the 16-year-old girl when some of the assaults were taking place, court papers stated.
