Illegal Alien Pleads Guilty To Child Pornography Charges In Louisiana

ABBEVILLE, LA (The Lafayette Daily Advertiser) – A Mexican man who was in the United States illegally was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for possessing child pornography.

According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Paul Armenta-Bojorquez, 34, of Sinaloa, Mexico, who had been residing in Abbeville, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography in May.

Law enforcement interviewed Armenta-Bojorquez in 2017. He told agents that he received the child pornography through his phone, and then transferred it to an online account. Agents confirmed that the material was on the online account.

United States Attorney David C. Joseph announced that an illegal alien from Mexico was sentenced Wednesday to seven years and six months in prison for using his phone and an online account to acquire and possess child pornography.
