SAN ANGELO, TX (KIDY) – A man in the United States illegally was arrested by Border Patrol and booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
Javier Hernandez-Torres, 43, was arrested after a traffic stop where police found drugs. After an interview by Border Patrol agents, the agents found that Hernandez-Torres was in the U.S. illegally.
When he was taken to the Tom Green County Jail, police learned he was wanted for indecency with child by sexual contact charge — that charge out of Travis County, where Austin is the country seat.
He has also been charged with giving false information to police.
He will be extradited to Travis County.
