An illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic is behind bars, facing charges of trafficking drugs and using false documents after a raid in Dorchester this week, officials said.
Hector Arias, 38, is due to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court today on charges of trafficking heroin, trafficking cocaine, possession of a false driver’s license, identity fraud, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Additionally, immigration officials placed a detainer on Arias for an immigration violation, prosecutors said.
Arias is one of seven people arrested at a Stanwood Street address that Dorchester-based drug cops raided Wednesday.
The cops had a warrant and seized 58 grams of heroin, 71 grams of cocaine, and $700 in cash. When he was arrested, Arias had a driver’s license in the name of Jose Delacruz Diaz, authorities said.
The others arrested in the raid were Alexis Rosa-Hernandez, 33, on trafficking cocaine, and conspiracy to violate drug laws charges; Jilliann Rabassa-Collazo, 24, for trafficking heroin and trafficking cocaine; Leondro Astico-Ruiz, 30, for conspiracy and knowingly being present where heroin is kept; Rafael Lugo-Soto, 31, for possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute; Luice Alicea-Rodriguez, for conspiracy and knowingly being present where heroin is kept; and Nelso Ruiz-Carvajal, 39, for conspiracy and knowingly being present where heroin is kept.
