A man is under a $1.5 million bond for trafficking dangerous drugs.
32-year-old Cesar Valenzuela-Felix of Snow Hill is facing multiple drug charges, including trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver the drug, and maintaining a dwelling.
Pitt County deputies say one of their K9 units conducted a traffic stop Thursday on U.S. 13 and Frog Level Road for a minor traffic stop.
The deputy discovered Felix had no driver’s license and the dog indicated the possibility of narcotics within the vehicle. A search found 150 grams of cocaine, in five different packages.
During a first appearance Friday morning, a district judge kept Felix’s bond at $1.5 million.
