Dangerous Illegal Alien Arrested After 9 Deportations

PHARR, TX – (CBS 4) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained a 35-year-old Mexican man on Tuesday — and wants to deport him for the 10th time.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Paulino Villanueva-Lopez on Tuesday at the Pharr city jail, according to the federal criminal complaint against him.

Born in Puebla, Mexico, he apparently moved to Pharr, according to Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office booking records.

The federal government deported Villanueva nine times, most recently on March 14, according to the criminal complaint.

“The defendant claims to have illegally re-entered the United States on or about March 25, 2016 by wading the Rio Grande River at or near Brownsville, Texas,” according to the criminal complaint.

Officers arrested Villanueva on July 10, when they found him intoxicated and holding a knife near the intersection of Cypress Street and Business 83, according to Pharr Police Department records.

Police charged Villanueva with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor, and failure to identify, a Class B misdemeanor.

After serving 23 days in jail, Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Villanueva.

He’s now charged with illegal re-entry.
