Indian National Strangled Hooker, Punched Her Until Her Face Was ‘Unrecognizable’

NEW YORK CITY, NY (The New York Post) – A wealthy tech executive who brutally beat and sexually assaulted an escort was tossed in prison for seven years — after the shaken victim told the judge she still has nightmares that he’s going to kill her.

The woman, wearing all white, said she has “been living every day in fear” since Sanjay Tripathy, 48, attacked her after they met on a “sugar daddy” website in June 2016.

“I have had nightmares where Sanjay breaks into my apartment and kills me and kills my dogs,” she said, her hands trembling, in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“This is something I’ll never be able to forgive or forget,” she said of the harrowing attack inside the W Hotel in Times Square, where Tripathy strangled her and punched her over 20 times, spraying blood on the room’s walls and chipping her tooth. He then forced her to perform oral sex on him.

The victim, whose name is being withheld because of the nature of the charges, asked Justice Erika Edwards to impose the maximum of 25 years.

Tripathy, with his wife and friends weeping in the gallery, sobbed as he apologized for the beating that left his date’s face so swollen it was unrecognizable.

“I wish I could turn back the clock, unfortunately, I can’t,” said the father of two. “I would like to sincerely apologize [to the victim], who I caused a lot of pain and suffering.”
