MADISON, WI – The Dane County Medical Examiner released the autopsy results of the homicide that occurred in the 2500 Block of Calypso Road, in Madison.
The examiner confirms the identity of the victim as 24-year-old Christina Hatcher.
An autopsy was completed on Thursday. Preliminary results of the autopsy show that Hatcher died as the result of homicidal sharp force injuries. Additional testing is being performed.

Madison Police have arrested a homicide suspect for domestic strangulation.
Police reported 39-year-old Jose Vasquez-Garcia was arrested for domestic strangulation Friday. He had not been arrested for First Degree Intentional Homicide.
Police said he remains the only suspect in the murder investigation of 24-year-old Christina Hatcher.
Hatcher was found dead in her apartment on Calypso road Wednesday morning. Police said her death was domestic related.

Court documents reveal more details surrounding the death of a woman and the man suspected of killing her on Madison’s north side.
24-year-old Christina Hatcher was found dead Wednesday morning in her apartment on Calypso Road. A search warrant identified 39-year-old Joselino Vasquez-Garcia as a suspect in her murder.
Police said Hatcher’s death is domestic related. Hatcher was found with multiple stab wounds, a black eye and injuries to her arms and legs according to court documents.
Scissors and a knife were found by police while executing a search warrant at the apartment. A glass pipe believed to be used for smoking marijuana was also found near the victim.
According to the court documents, detectives spoke with coworkers who worked with both Hatcher and Garcia at Applebee’s. One coworker told police they had heard arguments between the two over Garcia’s gambling problem and financial issues.
Garcia is in the hospital recovering from burn injuries.
*Garcia does not speak English, and an interpreter will be needed throughout questioning and all court proceedings.
