DAVIESS COUNTY, IN – What started as a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation turned into an arrest for fake ID’s in Daviess County, Indiana.
51-year-old Victor Natareno was arrested for having fake government identification cards when police stopped him for a seatbelt violation.
Natareno was driving northbound on East Street in Oden without his seatbelt when a trooper pulled him over.
When Natareno handed the trooper what appeared to be an ID card from the Guatemalan consulate the officer noticed other ID cards.
The card given to the officer had Natareno’s picture but had a different name which appeared fraudulent.
The officer later learned the card was fake, and that Natareno was in the United States illegally.
Victor Natareno also had a fake social security care and a United State Permanent Resident card.
He faces three charges of possessing a counterfeit government identification card.
Nataren was arrested then transported to the Daviess County Security Center.
