GREENSBORO, N.C. — Three men have been charged in connection with the seizure of 26 pounds of cocaine on Tuesday, according to Scott Williams, special agent in charge of the SBI’s Northern Piedmont District.
Carlos Yovani Hernandez, 26, and José Garcia-Rodriguez, 27, both of Greensboro, are each charged with trafficking cocaine – more than 400 grams.
Hernandez and Rodriguez were arrested yesterday at a house on Rocky Knoll Road in Greensboro where the cocaine was discovered. Williams said the house was probably a stash house.
Hector Eduardo Plantillas Ibanez, 30, of Greensboro, has also been arrested in the case. He is charged with conspiracy to traffic cocaine.
The SBI worked on an investigation for three to six months that led to the arrests, Williams said.
